Roof, window damaged at school building: A Tallmadge City Schools employee told police Nov. 8 that sometime overnight, someone took one step onto the ceiling tile through the opening of the wood cover on the roof of David Bacon School and the suspect's foot went though the tile According to the report, it does not appear entry was made into the building. Damage was estimated at $308.

Theft

Men nabbed in theft of wooden pallets: Police issued a summons for theft to a 28-year-old Tallmadge man and a 26-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man Nov. 12 after loss prevention at a South Avenue business contacted police to report a suspicious vehicle behind the store. According to the report, loss prevention suspected someone was stealing wooden pallets. When police arrived on the scene, they could see two men loading pallets into a vehicle. An officer approached and identified the suspects. Their SUV was loaded with 14 pallets valued at $140. Both suspects said "a friend" told them they were allowed to take the pallets. The complainant advised this was false and asked for them to be prosecuted. The suspects unloaded the pallets and were released on the scene.
