TALLMADGE -- Police arrested a Tallmadge woman for robbing the US Bank on South Avenue Nov. 12

Teresa L. Kidd, 50, was arrested the afternoon of Nov. 16 after numerous citizens had called to identify her after viewing her photo in media reports.

According to Tallmadge Police Chief Ron Williams, Kidd confessed to the robbery and is incarcerated in the Summit County Jail awaiting an initial appearance in Stow Municipal Court.

Kidd took an undisclosed amount of cash from the teller the morning of Nov. 12 after passing a note requesting "$10s and $20s with no dye pack," Williams said.

No weapon was seen by witnesses.

Williams said Kidd entered the Acme Fresh Market at 600 South Ave. at 9:42 a.m. and headed straight to the US Bank counter.

Williams described Kidd as being "very nervous and visibly upset, almost crying."
