Young, Harper exchange vows

Kimberly M. Young and Thomas G. Harper were married Aug. 15, 2009, at The Chapel in Akron with the Rev. Dale Saylor, pastor, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Don and Aneta Young of Tallmadge. The bridegroom is the son of Marlene Harper of Dresden.

Music at the ceremony was provided by Lynette Flick, organist; Scott Cole, dulcimer; and Matt Coffman, classical guitar.

The wedding colors were Victorian lilac, yellow and white.

The bride wore a white A-line matte satin gown with a fitted Basque waist trimmed with Swarovski crystals, rhinestones, sequins and seed beads, with beaded silver and white embroidery on the bodice skirt, a beaded sweetheart neckline and a royal train. She carried a cascade-style bouquet featuring yellow and white roses with lavender accents.

Attending the bride were matron of honor Erin Young of Cuyahoga Falls, sister-in-law of the bride; maid of honor Caley Young of Silver Lake, niece of the bride; bridesmaids Corrie Harper and Tara Harper of Dresden, daughters of the bridegroom; and Angela Vassalotti of Tallmadge, Nicole Weatherby of Akron, Alexis Owen of Munroe Falls and Angelica Owen of Munroe Falls, friends of the bride. Tyler Young of Cuyahoga Falls, nephew of the bride, served as flower boy.

The bridegroom was attended by best man Michael Harper of Zanesvillle, nephew of the bridegroom; and groomsmen Jay Harper of Warsaw and Craig Young of Silver Lake, brothers of the bride; and Donny Young and Brett Young, nephews of the bride. Carson Young of Cuyahoga Falls, nephew of the bride, served as ringbearer.

The reception took place at Raintree Country Club. Special out-of- town guests included Milton and Lee Pickle of Holiday, Fla., Karen Lischak of Tarpon Springs, Fla. and Raymond and Caroline Boniford of Zephyr Hills, Fla.

The bride graduated from Tallmadge High School in 1984 and Ohio University in 1988. She is employed as a flight attendant with Continental Airlines based in Cleveland.

The bridegroom graduated from Crooksville High School in 1979 and is employed by the Longaberger Basket Co. in Frazeyburg.

The couple honeymooned in Aruba and New York City. They reside in Tallmadge.
