This letter is in response to a letter which appeared in the Feb. 14 issue of the Express from a reader who was unhappy with the city's response to snow.
Rather than being angry and unkind to our city's leaders, we want to say "thank you" to all who are involved in keeping the streets passable under such terrible and unusual weather conditions. The street department folks are working long hours and doing their best. We want each of them to know we appreciate their labors.
Rather than criticizing, why not pray for wisdom for our leaders and safety for those who operate the equipment?
That, in our opinion, would be much more useful.
