Historical Society to host open houses on last Sunday of month The Tallmadge Historical Society will host open houses at the Old Town Hall and Museum and the Historic Church on Tallmadge Circle. The Schenkenberger House at 35 Southwest Ave. will also be open.

The annual Stow Fourth of July parade, sponsored by the city of Stow Parks and Recreation Department and the Kiwanis Club of Stow-Munroe Falls, will step off at 10 a.m. from the Stow-Kent shopping center on Kent Road and proceed west to Park Drive, just beyond Holy Family School.

"Mark's Lemonade Stand" will be held for the Children's Organ Transplant Association in honor of Mark Frick, a Tallmadge child who needs had a double lung transplant. The event is planned for July 1 in the parking lot in front of Linda's Kitchen, 141 Northwest Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Falls Downtown Fridays First Responders Appreciation Night will take place on June 30 from 5-11 p.m. First Responder Appreciation Night is a night to honor the safety services and will include an awards ceremony to recognize area safety forces who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Jeffrey McCort holds a copy of the Tallmadge Express while on vacation to Fort Myers Beach, Fla. This was Jeffrey's first trip to the ocean. He will start seventh grade at Tallmadge Middle School in the fall.
